Education

Hadiza Isma’il graduated LL.B (Honors) from the University of Lagos in 1997.

Profile

She joined The Law Union, in Lagos Nigeria, in 1998 as a pioneer Associate. She is currently a member of the firms Corporate and Commercial Group, with a strong bias for Company Secretarial, Legal Advisory and Oil & Gas Regulations. Widely experienced in Legal Drafting, Hadiza has recently been involved in providing Advisory services to the state, in 3 separate instances, on the Privatization of medium/large sized public enterprises. She has also worked on due diligence teams, representing potential Core Investors under the Privatization programme.

A major area of her practice is in the Oil, Gas and Power sectors, where she has been involved in cross border transactions and Investment Advisory to foreign investor groups. She only recently concluded a major review of emergent legislation for Downstream Gas regulation, for a number of major industry players. She also provides Company Secretarial Services to a number of major Corporations.

A highly committed individual, she also brings valuable and wide network of personal contacts, in both the Public and Private sector.
